Fat Women Refused By The Doctor

One in eight gynecological practice in the United States refuses to treat obese women because they are too fat. The doctors can not guarantee the safety of the patient if it is too heavy. There would be medical complications can arise where the doctors are not prepared.
A study of U.S. newspaper Sun Sentinel shows that 15 of the 105 practices specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology obese women in their clinic refused. Most gynecologists draw the line at 110 pounds or more, but some doctors refused women weighing 90 pounds or more.
The doctors have too little knowledge of obesity for obese women to be treated. Also, the equipment – such as examination tables – not built on obese people.
